Our Core Promise

EdgeSync is designed on the principle of Data Minimization. We only access the data strictly necessary to synchronize your invoices and payments. We do not sell your data, and we do not initiate movement of funds.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in two categories: Account Information (your user profile) and Financial Data (data from your connected integrations).

  • Account Information: Name, email address, organization name, and authentication tokens (encrypted).
  • Financial Data (via API): Invoice details, Vendor names, Payment status, Check numbers, and General Ledger (GL) codes.

2. How We Access Your DataSecurity Focus

When you connect EdgeSync to third-party services like Bill.com or Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, we adhere to strict access protocols:

Read Access

We READ invoice and payment status to detect when bills are paid.

Write Access

We only WRITE import files or data specifically directed by you to Financial Edge. We never initiate bank transfers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service:

  • To synchronize records between Bill.com and Financial Edge.
  • To provide you with reconciliation reports and analytics.
  • To prevent duplicate data entry and accounting errors.
  • To communicate with you regarding service updates or support.

4. Data Storage & Security

We take security seriously. Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure servers located in the United States.

We employ AES-256 encryption for data at rest (in our database) and TLS 1.2+ for data in transit. Access to production data is restricted to authorized engineering personnel on a strict need-to-know basis.

5. Data Retention

We retain transaction logs (e.g., "Invoice #123 was synced on Jan 1st") for the duration of your subscription to provide audit history. Upon cancellation of your account, you may request full deletion of your data, which we will complete within 30 days.

6. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with the platforms you explicitly connect (Bill.com and Blackbaud) as required to perform the synchronization. We may use trusted third-party sub-processors (like Microsoft Azure for hosting or Postmark/Resend for transactional emails) to provide the Service.
